Connect: Providing Equity Through Access
Devices in the hands of students have little impact if teachers are not trained to integrate technology effectively within the lesson design. The Connect initiative moves beyond devices to ensure connection and equity.  In developing the Connect initiative, our district addressed devices, internet access at home through an LTE network, and teacher training.  This session will describe the processes and strategies used to involve multiple departments, ensuring that cross department teams worked together to make decisions regarding student devices, at home internet connection, and plans for professional development.
