Ike Ramos is a hip hop artist, former teacher, and former principal with educational experience in both Texas and California. He is now a recording artist and Senior Partnership Manager at Flocabulary, where both Hip Hop and Technology are leveraged to engage students and help them master content and standards, build academic vocabulary, and develop 21st century skills. Flocabulary features over 1,000 standards-aligned music videos that support teaching and learning in Math, ELA, Social Studies, Science, and more, K-12. Attendees will learn about the key practices and research that drive Flocabulary’s work: student engagement, culturally relevant teaching, social emotional learning, brain-based learning, and more. All attendees will be eligible for free trial access for their school or district, so their teachers and students can spend the remainder of the school year exploring the power of Flocabulary.
